2. The Assetto app

Videos and measurements

The app analyses the videos you record or pick from your library on your device only. Videos, frames, detected body points and measurements are not sent to me or to anyone else. They stay on your device until you delete them in or with the app.

Permissions

The app asks for access to the camera and your photo library to record or pick the video and analyse it on the device. The recordings themselves have no sound.

Only if you turn on voice start does the app also ask for the microphone and speech recognition. It then listens for the command “recording start”; recognition runs on the device, and the microphone signal is neither stored nor sent anywhere. On first use the operating system may download a speech model from Apple.

You can withdraw any of these permissions at any time in your device settings.

No accounts, no tracking

The app needs no account, contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking services, and sends no personal data to me.

Sharing

If you pass on a video or measurements through your device's share sheet, you decide who receives them. The service you choose is then responsible for any further processing.

App Store and Google Play

When you download the app, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) process data such as account and device data under their own responsibility, and their privacy policies apply. From them I may receive only aggregated, non-personal statistics (such as the number of downloads) and crash reports, if you have allowed sharing these in your device settings.

3. This website

The website sets no cookies, loads no external fonts or scripts and uses no analytics. It runs on a server I operate, provided by Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 Munich, Germany, as a processor. When you open the site, the server stores technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser identifier) in log files to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after nine weeks at the latest.

4. Contact by e-mail

If you write to me, I process your details only to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that and no statutory retention period applies.

5. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). To exercise them, write to the e-mail address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.
